Religion and Worldviews

Regarding Religion and Worldviews, at Woodfield we use the United Learning curriculum, which ensures that all pupils receive coherent and sequenced substantive knowledge of religion and world-views which are represented in Britain and the wider world.  The Religion & Worldviews curriculum teaches pupils about diversity within and between beliefs, cultures and worldviews from across the world, and seeks to teach the skills and knowledge to hold respectful and informed conversations about religion and belief; to be religiously literate.  This approach provides opportunities for all pupils to see themselves reflected in the curriculum, but also to be taken beyond their own experiences.
Emphasising a scholarly approach, it delves into core disciplinary areas like theology, philosophy, and social sciences. Additionally, the curriculum fosters curiosity, open-mindedness, and self-awareness, encouraging students to explore and understand different worldviews while reflecting on their own beliefs.
