Science

At Woodfield Primary and Nursery School, we believe that the teaching of science is crucial as it fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in children from a young age.

Our Science curriculum is designed to introduce children to fundamental scientific concepts while nurturing their curiosity and investigative skills. It covers a wide range of topics, including living things, materials, forces, electricity, and Earth and space. Through hands-on experiments, observations, and exploration, children develop their understanding of scientific principles and learn how to ask questions, make predictions, and analyse results.

Through lessons, extracurricular activities and clubs, we lay the foundation for our pupil's understanding of the world around them and prepare them for future academic success and careers in STEM fields.  Furthermore, we hope to promote a deeper appreciation for the natural world and encourage lifelong learning.
