Spanish

Through our Spanish curriculum, we aim to immerse our learners in the vibrant world of the Spanish language and culture.  Throughout KS2, Spanish is taught through the iLanguages Scheme of work which is planned around the National Curriculum objectives. We tailor the scheme to the needs of our children and the key skills are taught progressively year on year, thus allowing children to organise their knowledge and recognise when previously learnt language is revisited and extended.  Through interactive lessons, games and activities, pupils discover a wide range of vocabulary and phrases, while exploring the nuances of grammar and pronunciation.    Our children will develop the four key skills of listening, reading and responding, speaking and writing (Modalities of Language) in an environment where they are encouraged to ‘have a go’ and have fun.
