At Woodfield Primary and Nursery School, we are passionate about our children having a positive mathematical experience. We understand the importance of basic skills in maths and to develop the ability to reason and solve problems.

As stated in our rationale (document below), each year group uses the White Rose Schemes of Learning and has mapped them out over a year, so that each maths topic is 'spaced' over the year, meaning the children visit topics more frequently. Please see the example 'Autumn Year 3' (document below)
